1 Dollar    (sold for $7500.0)

1894-O. PCGS graded MS-64. Frosty and totally white. Dripping with lustrous eye appeal. Quite difficult to acquire in such high grade. All but unobtainable as a Gem, the 1894-O is one of the foremost Morgan Dollar rarities in the finer Mint State grades. It is true there were 1.7 million coins were produced, however locating an attractive representative is anything but easy. Most coins are plagued by poor strike details, while the luster quality also seems sub-par for the type. This is not quite a fully struck coin, but all features save for those over the central highpoints are exceedingly bold. Even the foal points are not all that softly impressed, while the luster is vibrant, purest white and with a frosty finish. A very desirable example that would fit nicely in even the most discerning numismatist's collection. Pop 278; 41 finer (PCGS # 7230) . Estimated Value $8,000 - 8,500. Categories: Dollars
