Nova Scotia (/ˌnoʊvə ˈskoʊʃə/; Latin for “New Scotland”; French: Nouvelle-Écosse; Scottish Gaelic: Alba Nuadh) is one of Canada’s three maritime provinces, and one of the four provinces that form Atlantic Canada.
