1 Cent    (sold for $270.0)

1794 S-36 R5 Fair-2. A couple points sharper, especially on most of the reverse, but the surfaces are uneven and the obverse has been heavily burnished. No verdigris and the notable marks are a nick at the feet of LI in LIBERTY and several dozen tiny pits scattered over the reverse. Recolored glossy medium brown and light chocolate. The date is weak but easily readable and most of the legends are clear. The single berry left of the wreath ribbon loop is obvious. Estimated Value $200-UP. Categories: Liberty Cap Cents
