1797 S-121b R3- Gripped Edge VG8. Sharpness F15 but covered with fine to moderate roughness, strongest on the reverse. No verdigris and the only mark is a dull scratch down from the second T in STATES to the upper leaves of the wreath. The obverse offers nice eye appeal while the reverse is less attractive. Rather glossy chocolate brown with slightly lighter steel brown toning on the devices. The date is strong and the legends are complete. The grip marks on the edge are clear. EDS, before any die cracks on the obverse. Estimated Value $150-UP. Categories: Draped Bust Cents
