Signed by the engraver Telephantos on both the obverse and reverse, and by the engraver Ip.... on the obverse. Head of Athena facing to right, wearing a crested Attic helmet, TH and I[Π] behind neck. Rev. Φ-A / P-Σ (the lower two letters retrograde), Thessalian cavalryman riding on a horse prancing to right, wearing a petasos, chlamys and chiton, and holding a lagobolon over his right shoulder, TH below, all within a shallow incuse square (Lavva 99 (O49/R57); SNG Lockett 1603; SNG Copenhagen 220).
