SWEDEN. Daler Plate Money, 1658. Karl X Gustav (1654-60).

7 x 7.75 in. KM-PM10; AAH-54; BT-B4. VERY RARE early plate (Tingstrom: 24 known examples including 8 pieces from the Nicobar). All stamps fairly uneven. The central stamp is particularly faint with three incomplete, but discernible dates, two stamps double struck. Legend variety of date stamp reads "SVECO:" Pleasant pale orange to light brown patina. Cut from the corner segment of the original sheet of copper.
