1/2 Cent    (sold for $625.0)

1804 C-8 R1 Spiked Chin. NGC graded AU-50. Glossy chocolate and olive brown with frosty flowline luster showing in the protected areas on both sides. The only defects are some tiny ticks scattered over the obverse, none notable or visible without the aid of a good glass. Excellent eye appeal. MDS, Manley state 3.0. A fine die crack extends through the top of LIBERTY. The "Spiked Chin" feature is obvious. Our grade is EF40+, close to EF45. Estimated Value $500-UP. Categories: Flowing Hair Half Cents
