La Principauté d'Ansbach (en allemand : Fürstentum Ansbach) ou Brandebourg-Ansbach était une principauté franche du Saint-Empire romain germanique centrée sur la ville bavaroise d'Ansbach. Les princes Hohenzollern au pouvoir dans le pays étaient appelés margraves, car la principauté était un margravat (mais pas une marche).
Jean-Frédéric de Brandebourg-Ansbach (18 octobre 1654 – 22 mars 1686) succéda à son père Albert V comme margrave en 1667. Il épousa en secondes noces Éléonore Erdmuthe-Louise de Saxe-Eisenach le 4 novembre 1681. Leur fille Wilhelmine Charlotte Caroline de Brandebourg-Ansbach (Caroline d'Ansbach) épousa George II de Grande-Bretagne avant qu'il ne devienne roi.
