1914-D. PCGS graded MS-65 PQ. CAC Approved. Housed in an OGH. Lovely rich golden toning and well struck. With the exception of a picture perfect blushes of warm tinting, both sides present as fresh-as-a-daisy luster, Gem quality luster that is rarely seen. It has been often noted that the 1914-D is one of the more inadequately produced issues in this series, the present example is overall much sharper than average, if not entirely "razor-edged" as usually defined. Fully frosted in sheen, and free of individually observable distractions. The 1914-D is a key Indian quarter eagle at the Gem level. An impressive representative it is, and housed in an older PCGS holder with a green insert. This coin is sure to be appreciated by quarter eagle specialists, and we expect spirited bidding when this offering comes up. Pop 40; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 7947) . Estimated Value $30,000 - 35,000. This is part of the #3 ranked PCGS Registry Set. Categories: $2.50 Gold
