1917-D. Mint mark on reverse. PCGS graded MS-64 CAC Approved. A frosty untoned example and quite choice for the grade. Sharply struck with satiny, mattelike surfaces, a hallmark of the Liberty Walking half dollars of 1916 and 1917; in 1918 and later, the surfaces were normalized by the well-meaning mint staff, removing that rugged, coarse, and almost rustic "textured" look originally part of A.A. Weinman's design. In an OGH. Pop 147; 40 finer (PCGS # 6571) . Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,700. Categories: Half Dollars
