1851 N-8 R3. NGC graded MS-65 Brown. Frosty chocolate brown and bluish steel. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. The only mark is a tiny pinprick on the rim above star 5. MDS, die state a late. The die line over the right side of the M in AMERICA is dull but still visible. The lump on the upper neck is clear. Our grade is AU58+, very close to mint state. Excellent eye appeal, which accounts for the lofty grade assigned by NGC. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Reiver provenance are shown on the NGC label. Estimated Value $400-UP. Ex Henry C. Hines-Floyd T. Starr, Numismatic Gallery 1949 ANA Sale 8/1949:1890-Robert S.
