1796 S-90 R5+ Liberty Cap G6. Sharpness VG8 but faint granularity covers the fields and protected areas on the obverse while the reverse shows light corrosion mixed with several shallow pits. Specks of greenish verdigris can be found in may of the pits. The only obvious mark is a rim dent opposite the tip of the nose. EDS, Breen state I. The reverse is upset (dies oriented head-to-head) as often seen on this rare variety. Slightly glossy reddish chocolate brown and steel with lighter steel brown toning on the devices.
