1803 S-248 R4. PCGS graded VF-35. A "Mumps" variety. Glossy steel and medium chocolate brown. No roughness or verdigris, only light contact marks, none notable. The best identifying marks are a spot of lighter reddish steel brown toning over the N in ONE and a small struck-through line at the upper junction of the N & T in CENT (as struck). EDS, Breen state I. There is no trace of a die crack at MERI. The "Mumps" break at the throat and Doubled Fraction Bar features are clear. Our grade is VF25. (PCGS # 1482) .
