1845 N-7 R5 EF40. Repunched 84. Five points sharper but there are some light nicks scattered over both sides, the notable ones being a small rim nick at star 8 and a couple more at IT in UNITED. Glossy light brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Frosty luster shows in protected areas, especially on the reverse. MDS, die state b early. A fine die crack passes through the top of MER to the dentils over the adjacent I, and the repunching on the 84 is sharp. Tied for CC#8 honors for this tough variety. Estimated Value $500-UP.
