1890-O. PCGS graded MS-65 Deep Mirror Prooflike PQ. CAC Approved. A great looking DMPL dollar featuring a modest amount of antique-gold and sea-blue colorations surrounding the borders. Bright, highly reflective luster glistens from the fields and the devices are frosty on this well presented and sharply struck specimen. This date is highly elusive as a Deep Mirror Prooflike in any grade, let alone a full Gem. Soft-edged devices and details throughout the centers are typical on this New Orleans date, however, a very small percentage of the year's production is found with enough convincing detail to be called "bold" and this is one such coin.
