1845 N-4 R1 Repunched 5 AU55. An attractive mint state cent but there are several long diagonal nicks in the field off the chin, and these nicks catch your eye. Otherwise the surfaces are choice. Glossy chocolate and olive brown with satiny mint frost covering the fields and protected areas. Traces of faded mint red remain visible on both sides, mostly on the reverse. Sharply struck MDS, die state c, with several fine die cracks on the reverse. The repunching on the top of the 5 is clear. Estimated Value $100-UP. Categories: Liberty Cents
