1877. PCGS graded Proof 66 PQ. CAC Approved. A Gem example that should be reviewed as a candidate for the "Cameo" designation. Unbroken and unabraded luster and mint frost cover the design elements. Attractive sky-blue and golden-pink colors enhance the appearance of both sides, perhaps a bit heavier on the reverse. A proof-only issue with second lowest mintage of the series, only 510 pieces being struck. In its well preserved state, the present lot seems like good value when compared to rarity. Pop 52; 5 finer (PCGS # 3773) . Estimated Value $4,500 - 4,800. Categories: Nickel Three Cent Pieces
