1846 N-6 R1 Repunched 46 AU58. Very close to mint state but there are two extremely faint horizontal scratches on the cheek and a diagonal one under the earlobe. Otherwise the only notable defect is a small nick-like planchet chip at the bottom of star 10, as struck. Lustrous light olive brown and steel with generous traces of slightly faded mint color remaining on both sides. E-MDS, die state b. There is minor roughness in the obverse fields from die flowlines but the repunching at the bottoms of the 4 & 6 is clear. Estimated Value $200-UP. Ex Willard C. Blaisdell 9/1976 (via Del Bland)-R.
