1844 N-7 R2 EF40. Sharpness EF45 or slightly better but there are some light contact marks scattered over the obverse. The notable ones are a dull, shallow scratch left of the earlobe and a couple hairline scratches in the field off the chin plus a dull diagonal nick between star 12 and the lower curl. Glossy medium steel brown and light chocolate with frosty tan in protected areas. LDS, die state c, with a strong rim cud break at star 1. Tied for CC#13 honors for the die state in the Grellman census. Estimated Value $150-UP. Ex Doug Bird-Gary M.
