1854 N-3 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown. Lustrous olive brown and steel with overtones of bluish steel, especially on the reverse. Slightly faded mint red covers a third of the obverse and 10% of the reverse. Great eye appeal with only a few trivial marks. These include a light diagonal nick in the center of the neck and a few small spots of darker toning around star 10. Sharply struck E-MDS, die state a, with a fine diagonal line down through star 6. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#1 in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 1 finer in 65RB. Estimated Value $300-UP.
