1854 N-26 R3 PCGS graded MS65 Red & Brown. Lustrous mint red fading to light olive and chocolate with half the red remaining, mostly on the obverse. The mint red on the obverse is bright while it is mellowed on the reverse. The only marks are some microscopic specks of dark toning on the obverse, the largest of these between stars 6 & 7. The reverse is pristine. Sharply struck MDS. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#4 in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; none finer at PCGS in RB. Estimated Value $400-UP. Ex Wes Rasmussen, McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Superior 2/8/98:465. Categories:
