Denominazione: Centesimi grandi - "Testa a corona" Condizioni: leggermente deformato con qualche colpo sul bordo, per il resto una bella VF! Materiale: rame Peso: 10,62 g Diametro: 28 mm

Dritto: Testa della Libertà diademata "Corona" a sinistra, circondata da 13 stelle. Data qui sotto. Legenda: ******* 1818 ****** Rovescio: valore ("UN CENT") all'interno della corona, legenda intorno. Legenda: STATI UNITI D'AMERICA

L'originale Coronet Large Cent, a volte soprannominato "Matron Head", era un tipo di centesimo emesso dalla Zecca degli Stati Uniti a Filadelfia dal 1816 al 1839. Era uno dei due modelli simili del Coronet Head Large Cent, l'altro con una punta leggermente profilo alterato, prodotto dal 1839 fino alla fine della produzione dei grossi centesimi nel 1857.

1825 N-8 R3. VF-25 Plus. Frosty olive and dark steel brown. Satiny mint luster shows in the protected areas and this cent offers excellent eye appeal. Very close to VF30. Just a few trivial ticks from flawless. MDS with a double profile on the top edge of the coronet tip (caused by die bounce) ...

1822 N-7 R3+. Fine-15. Five points sharper but recolored an attractive glossy chocolate and steel with traces of frosty lighter brown in protected areas on the obverse. The only notable mark is a thin nick in the hair under star 7. MDS. Estimated Value $100-UP. Categories:

1821 N-2 R1. VF-25. Sharpness EF45 or so but the details of the portrait were carefully strengthened and the obverse was then lightly whizzed. Then the cent was retoned frosty light olive and steel fading to darker olive brown in protected areas. Great details and virtually no marks. MDS. Esti ...
