1852 N-15 R3. NGC graded MS-63 Brown. Choice glossy light to medium chocolate brown. Underlying mint frost shows through in the fields and a hint of faded mint color remains visible on the left side of the reverse. This cent is sharply struck and it offers outstanding eye appeal. The only marks are a dull, shallow rim nick at the first S in STATES and a small spot of reddish chocolate brown toning over NE in ONE. Rare EDS, die state a. The die lines at the base of the N in ONE are clear. Our grade is AU58. Not in the overall condition census for the variety but tied for third finest known of the EDS in the Grellman census. The attribution is shown on the NGC label. Estimated Value $300-UP. Categories: Liberty Cents
