1848 Small Date Rarity-7 VG10. Choice glossy chocolate brown. There is a small dig at the F in OF and a few light contact marks on the rims, but overall this example is very nice with excellent eye appeal for the grade. A flipover double strike on a twice-clipped planchet. Ample undertype is clearly visible on both sides, including major portions of both dates. An outstanding example of this non-mint issue, tied for CC#5 honors among only 10 confirmed in any grade. Weight 151.8 grains. DWH 2117. Estimated Value $3,000-UP.
