(sold for $239.0)

† Coins of India. East India Company. Bombay Presidency, Pice, 1829, struck in the southern Concan (Pr 330; KM 227). Very fine for issue, weak design at the top and edge cut but very rare. Listed by Pridmore under Southern Concan. It seems that Pr 328-330 were not a second official issue for the Southern Concan but were imitative pieces produced outside the collectorate and sold for a profit (see Stevens, ONS 179). Part of the David Fore Collection of British Indian Coins. £120-180
