† Coins of India. East India Company. Bengal Presidency, Gold 1/16-Mohur, AH 1202 Year 19, in the name of Shah ‘Alam II, mintname Murshidabad (Pr 58; PS 2.54; KM 87). Extremely fine, struck slightly off-centre but all the dots around the edge are visible, very rare. Gold coins of this type from Year 10 to 19 were struck both at Calcutta and Murshidabad.It is not yet possible to differentiate between the coins struck at the two mints.
