1 Dollar    (sold for $7250.0)

1893-S PCGS graded Genuine AU Details. Cleaning. Popular key date, 100,000 minted. The embryonic collector community in the 1940s and 1950s soon awakened to the potential of this elusive silver dollar. What separates it from others is that it is an attractive AU representative of this low-mintage S-mint delivery; despite the light cleaning, both sides possess nice silver-gray color in all areas with simply outstanding surface preservation that is free from heavy marks, we note only a few little surface contacts with other coins in circulation; also free of spotting and other detriments. To say this is a pleasing specimen only does it the justice it deserves. All the central highpoints are well defined. All the hair waves display naturally with light wear above the ear consistent with About Uncirculated grade. Problem-free rims, we should also add, and a ripe opportunity for a Silver Dollar buyer hoping for just the right coin (PCGS # 7226) . Estimated Value $6,000 - 7,000. Categories: Morgan Dollars
