Great Britain. Crown, 1695. S.3470; ESC-86. Septimo Obverse portrait of William III right. First bust with round collar. Reverse, crowned cruciform shields. Mint state with lots of original luster. Well struck, with nice surfaces under a pleasant pastel blue old tone. Cinquefoil stops (instead of the usual crosses) on edge. The rarer variety (the Spink catalogue rates the cinquefoil stops version as being around 60% more valuable than the usual type. NGC graded MS-64.
