1 Cent    (sold for $3100.0)

1793 S-3 R3- Chain AMERICA G5. A few points better, especially on the reverse where the legends are strong, but there are spots of shallow reddish verdigris scattered over the obverse, strongest above the date and in the field behind the portrait. Otherwise the planchet is decent for the grade with microscopic granularity covering both sides. The date is complete and easily readable but not strong and the legends are clear. Dark olive brown and chocolate with lighter chocolate toning covering the devices. Estimated Value $3,000-UP. Lawrie Rhoads collection. Categories: Large Cents
