1794 S-26 R2 NGC graded Fine details, tooled. Glossy chocolate fading to darker olive brown in protected areas. The surfaces are uneven in the fields and protected areas but smooth on the highpoints. No verdigris, and the only significant marks are some old scratches hidden in the patina on the upper part of the obverse and a rim bruise at the second A in AMERICA. The date and legends are easily readable except for LIBERTY and the denominator, which are faint. E-MDS. A die crack passes down through the E in STATES but the usual one through the first S has not formed. Our grade is net AG3+, close to G4. Estimated Value $100-UP. Ex Superior 6/3/85:54.
