1796 S-91 R3 Liberty Cap F12. Clipped Planchet. Sharpness near VF20 but there is a small patch of shallow corrosion at ER in LIBERTY and a larger one from the top of the O in ONE into the leaves above. There are traces of additional microscopic roughness on both sides but overall the remainder of the planchet is smooth and attractive. The only notable contact mark is a light rim bruise before the neck. Mostly glossy light to medium chocolate brown with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. MDS, Breen state IV, with two horizontal die waves in the field before the portrait and one more in the field behind the lower curls. The date and legends are complete and strong.
