1 Cent    (sold for $85.0)

1803 S-257 R2 Small Date, Large Fraction VG8. A couple points sharper with very fine granularity under rather glossy chocolate brown and steel toning. No marks or verdigris. The eye appeal is decent in spite of the imperfect surfaces. LDS, Breen state V, with a large retained cud break that effectively obliterates STATES. An impressive die state for an otherwise common die variety. Estimated Value $100-UP. Ex Rod Burress 4/1995. Categories: Draped Bust Cents
