1 Cent    (sold for $1650.0)

1794 S-42 R4 F12. Sharpness VF30 but covered with very fine roughness. No verdigris and the only mark is a barely visible rim bruise at AM in AMERICA. Rather glossy dark olive and steel with a swipe of reddish chocolate near the rim left of the cap and a small spot of similar toning over the N in ONE. The date and legends are strong except for minor strike weakness at TES OF. Looks better than the net grade might imply. Estimated Value $600-UP. Lawrie Rhoads collection.
