1951-S. NGC graded MS-66 Full Bell Lines. This is a lovely, radiant Gem, both sides being essentially well toned with frosty underlying luster. From the balanced color, circumstantial evidence suggests there is every reason to believe this came from an original Mint Set, though no confirming evidence supports this opinion. Judged from an aesthetic standpoint, the coin is also possessed of a much finer strike than is typically found for virtually any S-mint Franklin half dollar from the 1950s, particularly an elusive full bell lines 1951-S. Pop 14; 2 finer, 1 in 66 Star, 1 in 67 Star. Estimated Value $600 - 1,000 Ex Napier Collecion. Categories: Franklin Half Dollars
