1795 C-4 R3 Punctuated Date, Plain Edge G6. Clipped Planchet. A couple points sharper but there are two very dull vertical scratches in the field before the neck. No additional defects of any significance. Lightly cleaned and retoned a slightly glossy chocolate and steel brown blending to darker olive brown. The date is clear although the punctuation (comma between the 1 & 7) is very faint, and the legends are clear except for the usual weakness in the center of the reverse. A straight-edge planchet clip (end of strip clip) affects the dentils at the top of the obverse and comes close to touching the base of the fraction on the reverse. Weight 73.8 grains.
