† Coins of India. Mughal. Muhammad Shah, Gold Mohur, relatively broad flan, 24mm, Murshidabad, Year 20, 11.06g (KM 438.18). Extremely fine and rare. This superb Mohur, with its relatively broad flan and full mintname, is probably an issue of the then Nawab of Bengal, Shuja’ al-Din Muhammad Khan. It fits nicely into the series of coins that embraces the issues of the Nawabs of Bengal followed by those of the Bengal Presidency of the East India Company. Part of the David Fore Collection of British Indian Coins. £800-1000
