SWEDEN. 1/2 Daler Plate Money, 1748. Fredrik I (1720-51).
3.5 x 4 in. KM-PM65; AAH-300; BT-A29. Scarce (Tingstrom: 73 examples known including 22 pieces from the Nicobar). Stamps very well executed with sharp strikes for the corner stamps, and the center stamp well defined if a little weak in the bottom arc, four full dates. A few small spots of scattered verdigris. Hardly any sign of wear within the stamps themselves. A very attractive gloss deep brown patina.
