1793 S-2 R4+ Chain AMERICA NGC graded VG details, environmental damage. Sharpness VG7 or slightly better but the surfaces display very fine roughness on all but the highpoints. In addition there are a half dozen shallow planchet voids or pits on the obverse, including four in the hair and one on the 9 in the date that nearly obliterates that numeral. The remainder of the date is weak but easily readable and the legends are complete except for the U in UNITED, which is faint. No verdigris, and the only signs of contact are a few small, light rim bruises on both sides. Slightly glossy dark olive and steel with slightly lighter chocolate toning on the highpoints.
