Draped bust of Shan, three-quarters frontal, wearing large medal and high-peaked hat with aigrette; laureate border around. Reverse: Four lines of script, plus date, within inner circle; flanking laurel and oak sprays, crown above, royal lion below. Sharply struck with reflective lustrous mirror surfaces. The Millennia specimen NGC graded MS-62 realized $18,975 and in our Sept. 2008 sale an NGC graded AU 55 realized $8050. This specimen is quite attractive. NGC graded AU-58.
