On an 1823-LIMAEJP Peru 8 Reales. Scarce host coin. Countermark double struck on obverse with second strike nearly obliterating the first strike, well struck and slightly off center. What the holder states as damage is a moderately sized planchet lamination that has since separated. Moderate wear with hairlines from being cleaned long ago and now starting to retone.
