She was the first Canadian citizen to design an effigy for Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse The "Bluenose" under sail, a Canadian schooner from Nova Scotia, a celebrated racing ship and a symbol of the province, is surrounded with the facial value and the inscription "CANADA" NOTE: In 1993 on the Reverse the rim denticles were removed and replaced with beads.
