1798 S-169 R3 G6 but Counterstamped. Glossy medium chocolate and olive with smooth, attractive surfaces. No defects, but there is a large counterstamp covering nearly the entire head of Ms. Liberty. The stamp is a large raised "T" inside an incuse heart, and the style appears to be quite old. Unlisted in Brunk and the first example of the counterstamp seen by this cataloger. The date is strong but the central part of the reverse was flattened by the stamp. Estimated Value $50-UP. Categories: Draped Bust Cents
