Легенда: СПОЛУЧЕНІ ШТАТИ АМЕРИКИЗіткнувшись із ще більшою негативною реакцією громадськості, у 1835 році новий головний гравер Крістіан Гобрехт змінив дизайн центів Coronet. Ця остання значна зміна монети оновила аверс, надавши Liberty стрункішого та молодішого вигляду. Незначні зміни тривали протягом 1843 року, і дизайн 1843 року переважав до кінця карбування в 1857 році. Приблизно через 11 років після того, як великий цент було припинено, працівник монетного двору відкарбував кілька великих центів, датованих 1868 роком, майже напевно для продажу як миттєві раритети нумізматам.
