Год монетного двора: 1851 Артикул: КМ-67. Номинал: один цент (плетеные волосы) Вес: 10,58 г Материал: медь Диаметр: 28 мм Аверс: Бюст Леди Свободы с заплетенной влево головой в диадеме с надписью. 13 звезд вокруг. Эксерг: СВОБОДА - 1851 г.

Реверс: Номинал прописью (ОДИН ЦЕНТ) в венке. Легенда: СОЕДИНЕННЫЕ ШТАТЫ АМЕРИКИ

Столкнувшись с более негативной реакцией общественности, в 1835 году новый главный гравер Кристиан Гобрехт изменил дизайн центов Coronet. Это последнее серьезное изменение монеты обновило аверс, придав Либерти более тонкий и молодой вид. Незначительные изменения продолжались до 1843 года, и дизайн 1843 года преобладал до конца чеканки в 1857 году. Примерно через 11 лет после прекращения выпуска больших центов сотрудник монетного двора отчеканил несколько крупных центов, датированных 1868 годом, почти наверняка для продажи нумизматам как раритеты. Известно, что сохранилось менее дюжины этих неофициальных выпусков, отчеканенных как из бронзы, так и из медно-никелевого сплава.
