1798 S-162 R4 Style I Hair, Small 8 VF25. Sharpness VF35 but covered with very fine roughness under glossy dark olive brown toning. There are a couple tiny nicks in the field left of the hair ribbon and a speck of reddish verdigris over ES in STATES. MDS, Breen state II. The obverse fields are bulged but there are no die clashmarks at the throat. Called VF30 and tied for CC#5 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF35 net VF20 and tied for CC#7, his photo #24191.
