Leg: DEO DUCE COMITE FORTVNA. A great rarity. NGC graded AU-58. Rantzau is a small county in Schleswig Holstein. The count controlled one castle at Breitenburg. The area was constantly in conflict between German and Danish claims. In 1656, the Germans were in control, and a few gold ducats were produced. One can go years without seeing a Rantzau ducat.
