ATTICA. Aegina. Stater (Circa 525-475 BC). Obv: Sea turtle. Rectangular countermark with eagle´s head left. Rev: Incuse square divided into five triangles. Meadows, Groups IIa-IIb. The countermark strongly resembles the eagle´s head on the Cyprian staters of Paphos. This could give a hint to the attribution of the mark. Condition: Fine. Weight: 12.3 g. Diameter: 19 mm.
