KM-21; Basso-35; cf.PNM#6-4; PNM#16-13; Cacho-Type I CS-021; Lopez-Chavez Yriarte-Type I;. Type I Manila overstrike, with serrated boarders and reverse legend; dies prepared by Don Benito de los Reyes. Overstruck on an 1828-DoRL Mexico 8 Reales. "MANILA" and date fully struck up with dot between, remnants of serration from about 9 o'clock to about 4 o'clock; Reverse: Crowned arms of Spain partially struck up with most details visible, portions of legend around. Overstrike of typical weak strike leaving much of the under type still visible. Clear host date, assayers letter's, denomination and mintmark. Attractively toned.
