1856 Judd-177 Breen 1-B Copper Nickel R5 PCGS graded Proof-50. Variety without the lump on the I in UNITED. Glossy light golden brown and steel. No spots or stains, just some microscopic contact marks scattered over both sides, none notable. A problem-free example of this pattern strike, just very lightly worn on the highpoints. The strike is above average but not perfect due to the hardness of the copper nickel alloy used. Our grade is Proof-45. The J-177 attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
