Mint Year: ca. 1910-1916 Denomination: Medal - Dr. Karl Scheimpflug (public servant at the imperial finance service) . Condition: Minor edge-nicks, otherwise a nice XF-AU with most of the silver-plating intact! Diameter: 26mm Material: Bronze Weight: 6.48gm
Obverse: Three large medallions showing the public servants of the customs and taxation within decorated medallion. Legend: WER DIENT DEM KAISER WOHL TREUER, ALS DIE BEAMTEN VON ZOLL UND STEUER Translated: "Who serves the Emperor more faithfully than the public servants of customs and taxation."
Reverse: Crown above imperial eagle, with sword, scepter and cross-toppet orb in claws. Shield and multiple order chains at chest. Legend: UNTER MEINEN SCHWINGEN . MUSS JEDES WERK GELINGEN . Translated: "Under my wings, every undertaking has to be a success:"
